Feng
Shui: What is It?
by Ann Trump
Feng Shui (pronounced fung shway) is the Chinese art of placement.
Based on ancient Chinese wisdom, Feng Shui operates on the premise that chi, or
life energy, circulates throughout the environment.
All space is affected, including the spaces in which we live and work. If chi is
not impeded, energy flows harmoniously and life is good. If chi is stagnant or
moves too fast, areas of our life can begin to break down.
By intentionally manipulating our surroundings, we will realize fuller,
healthier, and more abundant lives.
Our home, business and property can be divided into nine sections. These
sections are health, career or life path, knowledge, family, wealth, fame,
relationships, children/creativity, and helpful people/travel.
If there is stress or hardship in a particular area of your life, for example
work or romance, the corresponding area of your home can be addressed using Feng
Shui principles and cures.
When a home has a vacant room that rarely gets used or has become a cluttered
storage space, the section that room occupies will be influenced. If this room
fell into the wealth section of the home, chances are quite good that money
would not be flowing freely for the occupants of the home.
Some common Feng Shui enhancements include the use of color, light, mirrors,
crystals, plants, and natural elements.
Feng Shui will create a balanced, harmonious, and nurturing environment for a
happier and more purposeful life. The swift results will amaze you!
