Everyone knows the characteristics of a person's sun sign is sometimes
considered when making choices in life. Those characteristics can reflect
best suited careers, and can even help to determine which relationships might
work.
This holiday season, when you are absolutely stumped about what to get Aunt
Millie, look to her star sign. Sound silly? For years people have given gifts of
jewelry based on gemstones coinciding with the month of someone's birth,
symbolizing the qualities of that particular sign. If you take a moment to
identify what those qualities are you should be able to find a gift well suited
for that hard to buy for someone. In odd instances, a person may be more like
his or her moon, or rising sign, but generally, this gift guide is a helpful go
by for those in dire need.

Energetic, impulsive, Aries might appreciate a gift that is as challenging or as
fun they can be. Consider a chess set, tickets to a basketball game, sporting
equipment, or anything connected to physical activity. The latest puzzles or
whodunit novels will keep them intrigued. Since Aries rules the face and head,
hats, (keep the color red in mind when choosing gifts for Aries) electric
razors, hair ornaments, and facials are good bets.
Steady Taurus likes stability and enjoys the good things in life. They usually
love good food which just might make a pleasing gift. A vintage wine, imported
olive oil or cooking lessons. They appreciate quality and love the smell
of leather, so an antique leather bound book or leather jacket would be a hit.
They like beautiful things, silk and cashmere (think blue). If you buy them

Expressive Gemini likes the exchange of ideas through all modes of

themselves, but certainly could use. Gemini rules the, lungs, arms and hands, so
presents such as an air purifier, shirts, (yellow or blue) bracelets, gloves,

Nurturing Cancer honors home and hearth. Anything that will make them feel more
comfortable or help them take care of family and friends is a sure winner. Sweet
scented candles and cookbooks along with photo albums are something most
Cancer's will cherish. Appeal to the nostalgic side of Cancer with a restored
photo of family members of the past. Sentimental Cancer will love something
handcrafted or purchased specifically because it was their favorite color,
animal, etc. In other words, with this sign the thought behind the present,
is as important as the present itself!
Dramatic Leo likes to shine and enjoy the finer things in life. When you think
in terms of gifts, think grand. Apply the colors of royalty, gold and purple.
Jewelry is usually a good gift for any Leo, and make it gold. Since Leo rules
the heart, a beautiful gold heart would be ideal. A bottle of vintage wine or

Detail Oriented Virgo has a tendency to worry. Why not help them de-stress by
giving them yoga or meditation videos. Health conscious Virgo might also like work out equipment
or a basket of natural food items. Think natural colors for this sign, and if
you consider jewelry, look for an earthy quality. Clay pottery or dishes and
even a sweetly wired bonsai tree can make nice surprises for the Virgo in your
life.
Sociable, glamorous Libra will enjoy gifts that enhance beauty, be it in the
home, or body. Beautiful custom made or vintage hand mirrors or an antique
boudoir set would score high with most. Hair pins or combs, jewelry or all sorts
and tasteful clothing ( Libra is all about blue and lavender) would also be a
good choice. If you go the book route, look for books about relationships, or
social skills, since Libra rules relationships. Candles, soft music CDs,
or romantic flower arrangements usually go over well. Shaving kits or wallets
for
men.
Intense, passionate Scorpio has an interest in the mysteries of life, so how
could you go wrong with a
good mystery novel? They love nothing more then to try to analyze the truth of
things so a current
juicy tell-all book might also do the trick. If that seems a bit too sleazy,
don't worry Scorpio can certainly handle it, but to be safe, go for a book on psychology, another interest
of Scorpio. Buy a Scorpio underwear, and remember the colors purple, maroon and
black. You will also make a good choice if you check out leather items for the
Scorpio on your list.
Freedom loving Sagittarius digs adventure and with such a wide range of
interests there probably isn't
much they wouldn't get a kick out of receiving, the more out of the ordinary the
better. Scout out the
shops with strange import items or stores with one of a kind things, those are
the gifts Sag will prize.
Chewing gum from Japan that sweetens your body odor will give them a rush. Since
Sag rules the hips, consider giving your loved one belly dancing lessons, trust
me, if she is a Sag ... she will love it!
Ambitious Capricorn works hard so giving them something to help them schedule
their time, such
as a leather bound day-timer or electronic organizer would fit right into their
busy life. They treasure history, so haunt the antique shops for the perfect old
pocket watch, ring or coin to add to their collection. There may be an old
jazz on vinyl they would love to have. If they are bikers, make sure they have a
good set of knee pads, as Cap rules the knees. You can never go wrong with a
traditional sweater and remember they look good
in dark colors.
Progressive Aquarius will relish anything that is innovative. They would be
thrilled with the latest
technical gizmo, but they would be just as happy if you donated some funds to a
charity in their name.
Books or videos on science fiction will captivate them. Retro items with catchy
sayings will probably
intrigue your Aquarius, as would most any book that they might learn something
from. If you choose clothing, make sure it is interesting, and you can't go
wrong with the colors violet or aqua. Aquarius rules the ankles and an ankle
bracelet for an Aquarius would make a super gift.
Compassionate Pisces can use gifts like bubble bath and aromatherapy to unwind.
Massage oil and
candles will also appeal to Pisces sensitivity. Maybe even a cute fishbowl with
a pretty Beta swimming
around. Since Pisces rules the feet a gift certificate for a pedicure or socks
and slippers are fine selections. Wispy clothing in sea green and silver are choice. Make a trip to the
closest ethnic variety store and check out overstuffed pillows and exotic
fragrances, sure to make Pisces a happy fish.
